Background:
USAID and Power Africa, through the Power Africa Uganda Electricity Supply Accelerator (PAUESA), in collaboration with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and the Smart Communities Coalition, intend to support mini-grids in Uganda through development of three off-grid solar PV mini-grids to meet the growing energy demands of the Rwamwanja refugee settlement community.

At this time, PAUESA and REA intend to prequalify companies with a proven track record of successful implementation of mini-grids within Sub Saharan Africa and are requesting qualified local, regional, and international companies to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI).
